Trip to Kenting

The following is my friend’s experience to Kenting.

Last summer, my friend’s class went to Kenting for three days. It was her first time taking trip with her classmates in college, so all of them were so excited. Before she went to Kenting, she went to Kaoshiung to find her friend first. At night, she visited the night market and also took the MRT which just operated for months. Before she went to Koashiung, she thought that it was a city just like a country without modern buildings and low devolopment. But after toured around the whole city, it overthrew her thinking. Next day, she and her friends met in the train station and left for their destination-Kenting. After two hours, they finally got there. Unluckily, it started to rain in Kenting, but it didn't put out their joy of this trip. Then they rent scooters and rode to the place they were going to stay that day. After that, they started to visit the scenes in Cape No.7 one by one.

At night, they had BBQ in the garden and had a lot of fun. Next, they went to a famous place in Kenting-出火, where has natural fire from the land. It's horrible because there was no light around them.

Next day, they went to their next destination- Stone of the sail. Do you know why it is called Stone of the sail? That’s because there is a very big rock beneath teh shore.

After they set up their luggage, they went to South Bay where is the southest beach of Taiwan. They had water activities there for two times because it was so exciting.

At night, they went to Kenting night market for fun.

The third day, they were too exhauseted to wake up early, so they left at 1:00 p.m. and unfortunately missed the sunrise of Pan-Long Park.

For the experience described by my friend, I can’t wait to go to Kenting with my friends in college. I am going to planed a trip to Kenting next summer vacation.

BBC World Service Learning English

I think "BBC World Service Learning English" is a good resource for people who wish to learn English or brush up on their existing skills. Remember one thing important. If you are the beginner, use the "BBC Learning English" but not the "BBC". It is the website specially for the beginner. The website seperates into six sections - News English, Business English, Watch and Listen, Grammar and Vocabulary, Communicate, and Quizzes. You can choose what you want to improve whenever you want. It also updates frequently. I am going to introduce some of these sections in the following paragraphs now.

The first one is "News English". It will tell you some things which happened recently. It will also give you some vocabularies from the news and tell you how to pronounce the those vocabularies and the meanings of those words.

The second one is "Business English". This section seperates into three parts - 6 Minute English, Talk about English, and Other series. Each part will give you several vedios about bussiness. Same as News English, it gives you some vocabularies from the vedios. Also, it gives you some links about the topics of the audios.

The third one is "Grammar and Vocabulary". This section tells you the meanings of some vocabularies of the news which happened before. It will also help you to use tricky grammatical structure, and teach you some tips about the English pronounciation.

You can try to use this website to learn English next time. I think it would be a good resource for you to learn English.

Nantou

Many people think having a vacation abroad is more interesting than in Taiwan, but actually there are still many places in Taiwan that are good to travel around. Nantou is my favorite tourist attraction in Taiwan. The scenery there is extremely beautiful.

If you go there, you must go to their most famous tourist spot and also the biggest lake in Taiwan - Sun Moon Lake Tourism Route. You can take the yacht to go around the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is also one thing interesting of Sun Moon Lake. Every year, there is an activity called 10000-person Swim Across Sun Moon Lake. You can go there and swim across the Sun Moon Lake with over 10000 people.

Or you can also go to Chingjing Farm and Lushan hot spring Tourism Route. They are also famous tourists in Nantou. The weater in Chingjing is quiet different from the other places in Taiwan. Because it is in the deep mountains, the weather there is cool enough so that you don't need to use the air conditioner even in the summer. And if you want to take a hot spring, Lushan must be a good place for you.

Sitou and Sunlikesea Tourism Route is also a good place to go. They are the popular tourist sites for their pleasant climate, beautiful forest scenery, and convenient access. Whenever you feel unhappy or depressed, you can come here to relax yourself. Your bad mood will be disappeared.

In conclusion, Nantou is really a great tourist attraction that you can relax youself and enjoy your vacation time. Try to come here next time you are free.

Overnight camping

Last week, we were preparing for overnightcamping. Every time we wnet back to the dorm, it was already ten or even eleven o'clock. Actually, preparing for the overnight camping is really exhausting, especially for those who teach us. Although it is tiring, I believe that this experience must be one of the unforgettable memories of my college life.
