If you ask me where can we go in Taiwan to have a good time? I think I will tell you to go to Hualien which is in Eastern Taiwan. It's a famous scenic, and offers a number of activities.

The first place I suggest you to go is the Hualien Ocean Park. The dolphins and sea lions there put on a great show at the Oceanic Theatre.

Next, you can go to the Recreational Ranch. There is a pasture and a zoo, as well as a fruit orchard, and the visitors are invited to visit the orchard and pick their own fresh seasonal snack.

There is one place that you can not miss if you go to Hualian. You must go to Taroko National Park. The scenery there is extremely spectacular.

Why do I say that this website is the best English learning website I have ever used? It is because of two reasons. The first reason is that this websit not only because it has all the functions which Dictionary.com has, for example, helps us to know the vocabularies which we don't understand, corrects the spelling if we don't know how to spell the word, gives us some words and idioms which related to the word we type, gives us some sentences with the word we look for, and also for free.

The second reason is also the main reason which amazed me. We can type some questions we want to know, and this website will gives us the information we want. Let me give you an example. If I type a question like "Where is Taiwan?", it will give you the information like this:

Last week, I watched a movie which impressed me a lot. The movie is called - Click.

This movie is talking about an architect called Michel who desired to be successful. One day, Michel got mad because he cannot find the TV remote controller. Then he went to an electric shop and hoped to find one thing that can control everything. A weird assistant called Morty took him to the garage and gave him a remote controller. And he said, ‘this remote controller can control the entire thing you want.’ It sounds amazing. But what the assistant said really happened! And this magical machine will later control his life in a way that he had never thought.

Michel has a beautiful wife Danna, and two lovable kids Ben and Samantha, but he didn’t get alone with his family often. He usually spent his time doing his work. He thought that if one day he succeeds, he can give his family a better life. But he ignored something important. He should try to find out what his family really wants instead of doing the things which he thinks that is good for them! With the magical remote controller, Michel could skip some details or even see the past of himself. Unexpectedly, the remote controller decided to go forward itself. And Michel could do nothing about it.

In the end, Michel understood that he had missed lots of precious and wonderful things. He realized that the relationship between family members is much more important than anything else. The time getting along with family is indispensable. Eventually, he learned to appreciate and cherish his life.

After watching this movie, I realized one thoing important. My father usually punishes me, that's all because he loves me. Everytime he punishes me, I will be mad at him. Sometimes I will even hate what he does to me. This makes the relationship between my family a little bad before. I decide to take care of my parents more often, and cherish the time when we are togrther.

Shakespeare in love

About few weeks ago, my English teacher let us watch a nice movie which called "Shakespeare in love". Actually I once heard Shakespeare when I was young, but I have never had a chance to know more about him. By this film, I eventually had better understanding about this man. The following is my retrospect to this film.

1953, summer, William Shakespeare, a writer who is talented, faced a significant crisis. He lost the inspiration of writing. That was a time that full of varied entertainments and amusing things. But no what methods he tried, he still had no idea about his script called "Romeo and Juliet".

Shakespeare needed a goddess to stimulate his inspiration. Unexpectedly, the real life reflected his creation. He fell in love with a girl and let her in the play which he wrote. A madam named Viola didn't pay attention to the prohibition rule which at that time the women could not enter the arena. She disguised as the man and went to the theater for the Shakespeare rehearsal. But Shakespeare discovered that she was a woman in moment. Then they fell in love immediately. Inspired by Viola, Shakespeare began writing feverishly. Viola became Juliet in his life. And he, the Romio, also found the meaning of his life.

He was good at writing, but he was not that luck. He needed to face a brutal truth that Viola had to marry Lord Wessex. In this case, William Shakespeare not only had to write a perfect ending for his script, but also had to find the joyful result for his love.

This is really one of the most impressive movie I have ever watched. I want to recommend this great movie to you guys. You should try to watch this film!

Trip to Yilan

Few months ago, I went to Yilan with my friends of the college. Actually, we had been planning this trip for a long tome. All of us were extremely excited because this was our first time having a trip to somewhere far.

We planned a two-day trip to Yilan. In the morning of the first day, all of us walked to the train station to take the train to Taipei. Then we took the MRT from Taipei Main Station to Sun Yet-Sen Memorial Hall to take the bus to Yilan. Maybe you will wonder why we didn't just take the train to Yilan directly. The reason was because we were a group of poor students. We didn't have too much money, so we need to find some ways to save our money. In fact, I didn't think it was boring, oppositely, I thought it was quite fun to go to Yilan in this way.

When we arrived at Yilan, we went to eat something famous there. Then we rent the scooters and go to the place we were going to stay that night. Next, we went to one of the famous tourist spot in Yilan - National Center for Traditional Arts.

After that, we went to another famous tourist spot in Lo-Tong - Lo-Tong Night Market. I am shocked when I got there. There are a lot of people and it was also a raining day that day. By the way, the foods in Lo-Tong Night Market was really delicious and cheap. You should try them next time.

In the second day, we went to Dong-Shan river. You can't miss it if you go to Yilan. The scenery there is very beautiful. It also has lots of recreational facilities. It would be a lot of fun to go there.

After that, all of us decided to go back to our home. We were too tired to go to the other tourist spots. Though these two days were really tiring, I will never forget this experience to go on a vacation with my friends of college. Actually, we are planning another trip to Jiu Fen after we finish our mid-term exam. I can't wait the coming day.

Trip to Kenting

The following is my friend’s experience to Kenting.

Last summer, my friend’s class went to Kenting for three days. It was her first time taking trip with her classmates in college, so all of them were so excited. Before she went to Kenting, she went to Kaoshiung to find her friend first. At night, she visited the night market and also took the MRT which just operated for months. Before she went to Koashiung, she thought that it was a city just like a country without modern buildings and low devolopment. But after toured around the whole city, it overthrew her thinking. Next day, she and her friends met in the train station and left for their destination-Kenting. After two hours, they finally got there. Unluckily, it started to rain in Kenting, but it didn't put out their joy of this trip. Then they rent scooters and rode to the place they were going to stay that day. After that, they started to visit the scenes in Cape No.7 one by one.

At night, they had BBQ in the garden and had a lot of fun. Next, they went to a famous place in Kenting-出火, where has natural fire from the land. It's horrible because there was no light around them.

Next day, they went to their next destination- Stone of the sail. Do you know why it is called Stone of the sail? That’s because there is a very big rock beneath teh shore.

After they set up their luggage, they went to South Bay where is the southest beach of Taiwan. They had water activities there for two times because it was so exciting.

At night, they went to Kenting night market for fun.

The third day, they were too exhauseted to wake up early, so they left at 1:00 p.m. and unfortunately missed the sunrise of Pan-Long Park.

For the experience described by my friend, I can’t wait to go to Kenting with my friends in college. I am going to planed a trip to Kenting next summer vacation.

BBC World Service Learning English

I think "BBC World Service Learning English" is a good resource for people who wish to learn English or brush up on their existing skills. Remember one thing important. If you are the beginner, use the "BBC Learning English" but not the "BBC". It is the website specially for the beginner. The website seperates into six sections - News English, Business English, Watch and Listen, Grammar and Vocabulary, Communicate, and Quizzes. You can choose what you want to improve whenever you want. It also updates frequently. I am going to introduce some of these sections in the following paragraphs now.

The first one is "News English". It will tell you some things which happened recently. It will also give you some vocabularies from the news and tell you how to pronounce the those vocabularies and the meanings of those words.

The second one is "Business English". This section seperates into three parts - 6 Minute English, Talk about English, and Other series. Each part will give you several vedios about bussiness. Same as News English, it gives you some vocabularies from the vedios. Also, it gives you some links about the topics of the audios.

The third one is "Grammar and Vocabulary". This section tells you the meanings of some vocabularies of the news which happened before. It will also help you to use tricky grammatical structure, and teach you some tips about the English pronounciation.

Nantou

Many people think having a vacation abroad is more interesting than in Taiwan, but actually there are still many places in Taiwan that are good to travel around. Nantou is my favorite tourist attraction in Taiwan. The scenery there is extremely beautiful.

If you go there, you must go to their most famous tourist spot and also the biggest lake in Taiwan - Sun Moon Lake Tourism Route. You can take the yacht to go around the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is also one thing interesting of Sun Moon Lake. Every year, there is an activity called 10000-person Swim Across Sun Moon Lake. You can go there and swim across the Sun Moon Lake with over 10000 people.

Or you can also go to Chingjing Farm and Lushan hot spring Tourism Route. They are also famous tourists in Nantou. The weater in Chingjing is quiet different from the other places in Taiwan. Because it is in the deep mountains, the weather there is cool enough so that you don't need to use the air conditioner even in the summer. And if you want to take a hot spring, Lushan must be a good place for you.

Sitou and Sunlikesea Tourism Route is also a good place to go. They are the popular tourist sites for their pleasant climate, beautiful forest scenery, and convenient access. Whenever you feel unhappy or depressed, you can come here to relax yourself. Your bad mood will be disappeared.

In conclusion, Nantou is really a great tourist attraction that you can relax youself and enjoy your vacation time. Try to come here next time you are free.

Overnight camping

Last week, we were preparing for overnightcamping. Every time we wnet back to the dorm, it was already ten or even eleven o'clock. Actually, preparing for the overnight camping is really exhausting, especially for those who teach us. Although it is tiring, I believe that this experience must be one of the unforgettable memories of my college life.
